Though your normal daily skin care regime may be sufficient, using a heavier "lipid rich" moisturizer in the winter compared to a lighter-weight moisturizer is highly recommended. During the winter months, the forced air from the furnace attempts to dry our skin, as a "lipid rich" moisturizer will assist in keeping our skin hydrated.

It is also important to continue use of your sunscreen year round, as it has dual effects in the winter. It not only protects from the persistent rays of the sun, but provides a great barrier for the skin against cold winter winds.

Look for a breathable product that is a Skin Defense Creme. This product that not only combats the adverse effects of winter weather on our skin, but protects skin from the environment. This creme acts like a second skin to keep our "true skin" moist and comfortable. Apply Skin Defense Creme directly to clean skin when extra protection is needed. This product is especially helpful to you who are continually exposed when active in outdoor sports and exercise.
