Throw a few of these "emergency" items in your suitcase next time you fly or travel long-distance, or stash them in your office desk for fitness "snacks" during the day. Fitting in exercise is easy when you've got the right gear on hand:

  • Dynaband

  • SpriTube

  • Bathing suit

  • Aerobic, strength training, or yoga video

  • Frisbee (perfect for rest stops)

  • Sneakers

  • FitBall (it can be deflated for travel, or help correct posture when used as an office chair)

  • Exercise shorts or pants and bra

  • Favorite music tape/CD and portable tape/CD player

  • Positive attitude.
