The primary goal in a detox program is to rid the body of toxins and excess waste, as the accumulation of toxins in the system is the main cause of disease. Toxic overload is also a primary cause of damage to the liver, and people should strive to work to detox the body using simple lifestyle adjustments.

  1. Start with a healthy diet, eliminating all processed foods, alcohol, a diet strongly consisting of fruits and vegetables, and some whole grains.
  2. Dry brush massage is very important in ridding the body of old dead cells so new ones can form. Dead skin cells prevent the skin from breathing.
  3. Hydrotherapy is very beneficial for detoxifying, as are body wraps.
  4. Exercise is very important during a cleansing program, like walking and yoga.
