A labyrinth is a single path (unicursal) tool for personal, psychological and spiritual transformation. The most recognized design, may be made of a variety of materials including stone, earth, or canvas.

People, formal cultures, and traditions have used the spiral labyrinth designs as a symbol of their search for meaning and guidance. Some of the earliest forms of labyrinths are found in Greece, dating back to 2500 – 2000 B.C.E.

Different from a maze – a labyrinth is a concentric design with a path that winds to a center. The journey activates right brain activity and may be viewed as the surrender to walking a sacred spiritual path in life. The labyrinth is non-denominational. People of all faiths and people longing to re-connect with their own spirituality come to walk labyrinth.

Walking in - Releasing: allow for letting go, quieting the mind, surrender, opening.
In Center - Illumination: Stay in center until you are satisfied. You may stand, sit, kneel, like down. Be open to receive what comes,: peace, clarity, awakening, insight.
Walking out - Union: A time for communion, reunion, remembering. Allow yourself to take back into the world the experience held for you, also called integrating.
