There are plenty of things you can do to prepare for any long journey to help you arrive looking great and staying that way. Here are some of our simple tips and recipes that will help you on your way. Cranberry Honey Lip Gloss, can be made just before you leave and can last through out your vacation and the Honey Moisture Mask boosts your skin before traveling.
Cranberry Honey Lip Gloss
This protects lips from becoming dry while traveling. This simple yet rich balm is delightful to wear on it’s own or on top of lipstick to give extra shine.
Gather 1 Tbsp. of sweet almond oil, 10 fresh cranberries, Tsp of honey, 1 drop of vitamin E oil. Mix together and microwave for a few minutes ( Just until the mixture starts to boil). Stir well and crush the berries. Let mixture cool , then strain. Stir again , then allow to completely cool . Then transfer to a small container. Then it’s ready to apply !
Within a day of traveling it’s a good idea to give your skin an extra boost. This simple recipe is perfect……..it refines and moisturises.
Honey Moisture Mask
Mix two Tbsp.’s of honey with two Tbsp’s of milk . Apply over the face and throat . Leave for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Then apply your regular moisturizer.
During a flight, it’s a good idea to lean forward in your seat and support your face in your hands . Using your ring finger use small pressures away from the nose out over the cheeks. Starting at just under the eyes and work down the face until you have covered three or four rows either side . This can help dramatically reduce puffiness in the face and around the eyes .
Don’t forget to pack a water spritzer for the flight. Spritzing the face with cool water regularly decreases the chance of facial puffiness and dryness.
