EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa., March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- In two weeks, on April 4, 2008, Deerfield Spa re-opens for its 2008 season, kicking off the year with numerous spa discounts. During the ten-day periods of April 4 to 13 and April 18 to 27, 2008, guests can stay ten days for the price of one week and receive a $70 spa gift certificate toward a 50-minute massage. During the five-night Mini-Week in between -- from April 13 to 18, 2008 -- Deerfield offers a 10 percent spa discount and a $150 spa gift certificate toward personal services. Deerfield Spa was voted in September 2007, among the best spas in the U.S., in the category of affordability, in Spa Finder's Readers' Choice Awards.

Deerfield will celebrate Mother's Day with a five-night Mini-Week May 11 to 16, 2008, during which moms can have a complimentary group portrait taken with their friends or family. Deerfield's aesthetician will offer complimentary make-up applications prior to guests' photo shoots. Also, Mother's Day Mini-Week guests each receive a $200 spa gift certificate toward personal services during their stay.

The week of June 15 to 22, 2008, is Friendship Week at Deerfield. Guests who bring a friend will each receive 20 percent spa discounts and a $70 spa gift certificate towards personal services. Additional spa discounts are scheduled throughout the 2008 season, which concludes Oct. 31, 2008.

Deerfield also announced its calendar of special events for the 2008 season, launching its Expert-in-Residence Series, during which visiting experts will conduct special classes and programs. Deerfield Experts-in- Residence for 2008 include registered nurse, Bonnie Berk, July 13 to 19, 2008; nurtritionist, Karen Fisher August 4 to 8, 2008; and personal trainer, Lisa Colletta, September 12 to 14, 2008. Additional events include dance weeks in June and August, a Texas Hold 'Em weekend in July, and Fall Foliage celebration in October.
