2006 edition of Destination Spa Vacations hits the newsstands
The number of consumers considering a spa or wellness vacation continues to grow. In response, Destination Spa Group (DSG) and its member spas have resolved to help consumers locate the right spa, experience cutting-edge, award-winning spa programs and provide insights into staying healthy and in-balance in 2006. To kick off the New Year, the 9th edition of Destination Spa Vacations, filled with valuable tips and three new member spas, recently hit newsstands nationwide.
DESTINATION SPA VACATIONS is a glossy, four-color travel guide to 25 Destination Spas. With more than 70 pages, the beautiful publication offers a comprehensive two-page description of each member spa, including large color photographs, a summary of the facility, amenities and accommodations, an explanation of services and activities, plus addresses, phone numbers, nearest airports and rates. Wellness articles, at-home spa treatments, including an Anti-aging Banana & Yogurt Mask, spa lifestyle strategies and delicious spa cuisine recipes, such as Tortilla Crusted Gulf Snapper and Blueberry Bliss Muffins, make this a great read even for someone not planning a spa vacation. At a cover price of $5.95, the magazine is also available by calling the Destination Spa Referral Service (888-772-4363) or visiting www.destinationspas.com.
Next on the calendar is a brand-new look for www.destinationspas.com. While complementing the magazine, the website delivers timely and interactive access to the spas’ information. The upgraded site is scheduled to launch in January 2006 and will feature greatly expanded spa search functions, a photo-gallery, what’s new spotlight, and user-friendly navigation.
The resourceful website contains information about the member spas, complete with photographs, rates, general information, direct links and telephone numbers. Each week a new Destination Spa is profiled in-depth and every month special offers are posted from various spas. Visitors can order the Destination Spa Vacations magazine, sign up for the monthly DSG e-newsletter, read spa-related articles, order gift certificates, discover healthy spa cuisine recipes, search for specific information about the spas, ask questions or request more information.
2006 is an exciting time for DSG member spas. Construction of new facilities, the addition of innovative lifestyle & fitness programs, along with the introduction of new treatments and product lines will all serve to further enhance the Destination spa-goer’s experience. (A complete list of “what’s new” accompanies this release).
Destination Spas are dedicated solely to providing access to and educating people about the benefits of physical activity, nutritious eating, mind-body connections and therapeutic benefits of massage and body treatments. DSG is an organization of Destination Spas focused on educating the public about Destination Spas. Member spas must meet specific criteria for membership and be committed to providing a health renewing experience.
