This series of classes seeks to improve body image by addressing different aspects of body image. Topics include how a woman sees her body/self, how she feels being in her body, how she thinks about her body/self, and the messages from the past which she may continue to carry into the present and perpetuate old habits of shame and self-hatred. Verbal processing helps integrate the experience.
By noticing the negative ways we talk to ourselves we take the first step towards being able to change our thinking. We will discuss tools such as thought stopping, increasing positive self-talk and how to apply this to our bodies.
