What is "Hot" at the Heartland Spa

Seasons are a natural time of change. The salon team at The Heartland Spa looks forward to each season and offering the new services, which they have carefully researched and designed. The research begins with learning what's new in the industry. The Heartland's salon team then thoroughly researches the services and products, making sure they are truly top quality--safe and effective. Finally, it's all about our guests. The salon team knows our guests and designs services that our guests will love. This summer, our three new services have been a big hit.

1.Our Detoxifying Citrus Bliss is all about Vitamin C. The products do not simply contain the scent of oranges! While the citrusy smell is refreshing, every product used in this service is packed with vitamin C-there are actual pieces of orange peel in the oil! This fabulous vitamin detoxifies, nourishes, fights free radicals, moisturizes.and protects the skin from future damage. As important as these benefits are, they are nothing unless the application is relaxing and enjoyable. All of this Vitamin C is applied first with a soothing body polish to exfoliate, followed by a vichy shower and then as an oil (lotion) in a cozy wrap, followed by a second vichy shower. Finally, a rich lotion is lathered on-sorry, no shower. We want this lotion to penetrate as long as possible. "The cadillac of body treatments", said a recent HL guest. "Women must love you after you do that to them", said another guest to her HL esthetician.

2.An Age Defying Peel sounds a little more serious and it is! Our guests want a facial that does more than a deep cleansing, they want to feel and look younger-in a natural, non-invasive way. Our 30% solution of naturally derived fruit acids has been formulated exclusively for The Heartland Spa. Within minutes, fine lines will be smooth, skin discoloration softened and pores refined. And of course, while the product works to bring about the desired effect, the esthetician works to make the Facial a relaxing experience. "It's like a mini face-lift-but better!", said one guest.

3.Last, but by no means least, our salon team is thrilled to now offer Ear Candling! No vichy shower, no massaging, no aroma therapy. The process is soothing but the cleansing and healing benefits are the greatest appeal, making this one of our most popular services. This service has "soothed a sore throat" and "cured a sinus headache" for some Heartland guests. Others have described it as "a therapeutic service for the ears!"

The NIA technique is a physical conditioning method centered on the pleasure of moving while respecting the physical capacities of every person. Movements are enlivened by the sound of music which stimulates the awakening of senses. This technique is a fusion of nine different disciplines, which includes martial arts, art therapy and dance arts. Bare foot practiced improves cardio vascular conditioning muscular, strength and flexibility, balance and psychological well-being.
